Health Advice
Our practice nurse Allison King is trained to give health advice. She offers appointments for:
- Asthma
- Diabetes
- BP
- Well woman/man
- Cervical smears
- Smoking cessation
- Travel vaccinations
- Weight management
Along with many other health related issues.
Additional Services
We also provide the following ‘additional services’: child health surveillance, family planning, maternity services, travel vacs, cervical smears, freezing of warts & other small skin lesions.
Enhanced Services
We also hold contracts with GGNHSB for the following enhanced services:
- Annual ‘flu clinics to protect the elderly and at risk.
- Regular blood and urine monitoring for patients on a range of drugs for arthritis and bowel problems.
- Annual heart disease/stroke review.
- Annual diabetes review – inc. appointments with the podiatrist and a programme for patients with drug problems.
Home Visits
Home visits should be requested only for the seriously ill or housebound. If possible telephone before 11a.m. A doctor or nurse may ‘phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice.
